I can't yet give the contents of this book a review since I've only yet read the intro to the first volume.

I know that other logicians took Sigwart very seriously. For ex., C. S. Peirce unsuccessfully tried to convince Ernst Schröder that Sigwart's concept of logic was overly broad and blurred the lines between psychology and his (Peirce's) concept of logic.

Dendy's translation flows very nicely making it feel like it's an original English work. Sigwart himself worked with the translator and approved everything.

The printing looks like it does in the PDF sample. None of the markings and underlinings were electronically removed. It's unfortunate that ULAN didn't choose the cleanest PDF available for their publication. ULAN's printing of my copy of vol. 1 is so light that most of the periods at the end of the sentences are missing. It's still readable because there is always a double space after each period and the next word starts with a capital. Vol. 2 was printed heavier than vol. 1 so doesn't have this problem. About five pages in vol. 2 are blurred so much that they're unreadable. For this book that's OK since I can print out those pages from any of the (free) PDFs available online. If there weren't a PDF available I'd be highly annoyed.

Before buying this book I borrowed a copy published by Swan Sonnenschein and Co., 1895, from the library. The pages were brittle, so assuming all these old copies are printed with the same paper, and the condition of the book I borrowed is due only to age, I advise against buying this old printing.

The margins are extra wide. This makes this large book heavier, but it's great for making notes.
